Date
May 2025
Location
Park City, Utah
Website
The Centennial House is a fascinating project involving the full restoration and expansion of one of Park City's landmark historic buildings. Originally constructed in 1901, the Durkin Boarding House (later renamed The Centennial) was established as a boarding house for miners after the passage of the 1901 mine boarding house bill. The Centennial is one of only four existing boarding houses in the entire Park City area to have survived to the present. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Sites in 1984. The building has been abandoned and neglected for over 20 years. It was condemned by the City in 2004 and requires a complete and exhaustive reconstruction. To date, it is one of the only non-developed historic properties on Main Street.
The Centennial project broke ground in October 2025 and is expected to be completed by Summer 2027!
